Today, I want to share some Marketing & Sales insights with you that also apply to our personal lives and have helped me a lot in my entrepreneurial endeavors.
When someone asks you what you do, answer why you do it.
This is much more powerful because people want to buy stories and values, not products and services. The reason being that this speaks directly to their emotional brain where the final purchasing decision takes place. Now, this type of psychological advise for marketing is of course the reason why Marketing and Advertising have such a bad rep.
I would argue though that we all have to make money and if you are selling a service or product that doesn't harm people or the environment or even helps improve them, there 's nothing wrong anymore about taking strategic Marketing decisions, right?
